Case Managers
Family Members / Care Givers
Our Goal:
At Oklahoma Disability Services, our goal is to help your loved one build real-world skills that lead to more independence, confidence, and daily success — while keeping you included every step of the way.
What Family Training is
- Our trainers teach everyday life and social skills through modeling, guided practice, and encouragement.
- You'll see lessons that connect directly to daily life - things like:
Building routines, personal responsibility, practicing home skills and safety while being independent.
Learning healthy communication, boundaries, understanding emotions and relationships.
Family Training is an educational service, not therapy, so we do not address therapeutic needs, but we can help clients learn how to express emotions, needs, desires, and how to resolve conflicts.
Trainers use a supportive, hands-on approach that is designed to meet each person where they are.
Your Role as a Caregiver
You play a key part in your loved one’s progress.
Family Trainers keep you updated, share what’s being taught, and give you ways to continue lessons between sessions.
This teamwork helps new skills “stick” — so growth happens at home and in the community, not just during training hours.
What You Can Expect
A respectful, encouraging environment.
Consistent communication from your trainer.
Practical lessons based on your family’s needs.
Progress you can see in daily routines and building confidence.
